Executive Inn disappointment

I just returned home from the AQS 25th Anniversary quilt show. I must say, there were some improvements at the Executive Inn, however, there is still a lot to be desired. I was absolutely miserable with the heat conditions in parts of the building. I suspect there were many vendors and customers that were very unhappy.

When I attended in 2008 I said I would not return due to the conditions at the Executive Inn. Well, after reading the news that they facility was in the process of being sold to the City of Paducah, etc. I thought I would attend in 2009 for the 25th anniversary. Needless to say this will be the last year for me.

I cannot imagine how many other quilters and vendors will not be interested in returning to the Executive Inn. I also have a terrible feeling that the current owner of the hotel will not follow through with the sale no matter what he says.

I wish everyone good luck with the 2010 show. I will maintain my AQS membership because I believe you are a fantastic organization and promotion of quilting is very important for our history.

Thank you for allowing me to post my view.
